T3 Technology. It is a bisphenol A resin based
epoxy resin. The curing system is a modified cycloaliphatic amine curing
agent. The curing system is available in three curing speeds, fast,
slow, and extra slow.
The resin system is a medium viscosity that has great wet out
properties, yet resists "draining" from vertical faces. It is resistant to water vapor pressure, has UV stability,
non blushing characteristics, high strength/high modulus, excellent
adhesion to fiberglass, carbon, and Kevlar fabrics. It has multiple
applications including: hand layup, pre-impregnation, coatings,
prototyping, tooling, electronic encapsulation and part production.
T3 High Modulus was engineered for our hull application 6
years ago. This is our epoxy resin formula for watercraft application.
This resin has been proven to provide Trinity Composites with a product
of ultimate strength. Yet incorporates great flexural properties for the
impact resistance needed for hull deflection.
T3 High Modulus is excellent for any substrate that requires strength, durability, and UV protection.
Here are the specifications for the High Modulus T3 resin system.
